Lea Hall Miners Welfare Centre is registered with The Charity Commissioners for England and Wales under the power given in the Charities Act 1993.
The charity, formerly known as Lea Hall Colliery Miners’ Welfare Centre, is administered in accordance with the SCHEME case number 20250 dated 4th August 2003.
The object of the charity is ‘The provision of a Welfare Centre and Recreation Ground for the benefit of the inhabitants (and in particular, but not exclusively, such of the said inhabitants are members of the mining community) of the area of benefit without distinction of political, religious or other opinions with the object of improving the conditions of life for said inhabitants’.
The area of benefit means Rugeley, Staffordshire and the neighbourhood thereof.
